Sam's School has declared that law requires thorough labeling of all personal effects!
What a great excuse to get cracking on practicing some of the embroidery I have been reading about for months in Jacqueline Enthoven's wonderful book, The Stitches of Creative Embroidery.
Embroidery has been an Achilles Heel. But, then, so was crochet. I just needed the right explanation. This book combines very clear direction with illustrations, logical grouping and sequencing of stitches, and a passionate tone that will get you itching to embroider something around the house.
From someone who has always sucked at embroidery and still does somewhat, I cannot recommend this book enough for motivation and instruction.
Next, I think I will mend/embellish some dish towels!
